Witchcraft III: The Shamanic Temple

Witches are often known as “walkers between worlds” acting as a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual, to bring healing and balance to both. Before you can heal others, you must embrace your own healing path. Reclaim the shamanic ancestry of the witch using both European and core shamanic journeying techniques to travel the middle, upper and lower reams of the shaman’s world tree. Focusing on the element of water as the gateway to the spirit realm, learn to reflect on your inner emotions and dive deep to heal your past. Learn techniques to further your relationship with your shadow self. Topics include alignment with the three selves, spirit allies, working with the totem/fetch/familiar, animal and plant spirit medicine, past life healing, soul healing and communion with the Dark Goddess. The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft is the required text book for the course, and the Temple of Shamanic CD Companion is the required audio. This year long course fuses material from The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft text (required reading) with previously unreleased rituals and meditation, in the form of the Temple's Book of Shadows. Though the previous Witchcraft I and II are recommended, they are not required prerequisites if you have previous witchcraft/magick experience. Students are expected to complete and turn in required homework assignments.

Many witchcraft practices are influences by the traditions of high magick, a ceremonial tradition of magick focused on communion with the divine through the study of correspondences and models of the universe. Many of our modern Wiccan ancestors were also ceremonial magicians, and the grimoires of medieval magicians have undoubtedly influenced our own Books of Shadows. Explore the art and science of Witchcraft through the lens of modern ritual magick. Focusing on the element of Air as the overall tone for the fourth degree, work with different models of magickal understanding and communication. Drawing from the influences of Hermetic philosophy and Qabalistic lore, work deeply to balance the four elements within, finding the inner sacred tools of the stone, cup, sword and spear. Climb the ten spheres of the Tree of Life, exploring the magickal correspondences of each through color, scent, angel, god, planet and pathworking. Learn to adapt Ceremonial Magick rituals such as the pentagram protection rites to a witch’s perspective. Understand your own unique perspective of the universe and create your own Map of Reality. The Temple of High Witchcraft is required textbook for course, and the Temple of High Witchcraft CD companion is the required audio. The year long course fuses material from The Temple of High Witchcraft (required reading) with previously unreleased rituals and meditations, in the form of the Temple’s Book of Shadows. Join Sagittarius Minister Christopher Penczak and other members of the Temple of Witchcraft in a series of magickal workshops and lectures. Each month we'll focus on a different spiritual topic relevant to Witches, Pagans, and Spiritual Seekers, and many classes will have discussion, practical work, and ritual or visionary path workings. Scholarship: Thanks to the generous donation of a Temple member, we are pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for the Temple Education Series at Myths & Maidens. Applicants may download a scholarship application. Applications must be received at least one week prior to the chosen class. Mailed applications must be postmarked at least two weeks prior to the chosen class. Limit of three classes per year to one student.
